Highlights of Biblical Greece & Rome (5 days)
Athens – Ancient Corinth - Cape Sounion – Rome

This short itinerary is an excellent introduction to Biblical sites in Greece and Rome, perfect on it’s own as a main itinerary or as an addition to another tour or cruise.

Day 1 - Athens arrival:
Upon arrival at Athens Eleftherios Venizelos Airport, a representative of Aristotle Travel will meet and assist you with your transfer to the hotel. Spend the rest of the day for leisure, dinner and overnight stay.

Day 2 – Ancient Corinth, Athens:
Today on the itinerary is a journey to Ancient Corinth via the famous Corinthian Canal, followed by a tour of the church established there by Apostle Paul. Other sites in Corinth include the Agora, the Temple of Apollo, the Roman Odeon, the Bema, and Gallio's Seat. Next stop is a visit to the Archaeological museum and a tour of the ruins of a 5th century Christian basilica at the Ancient Port of Cenchreae. Following is a tour of Athens, including the famous Parthenon, the Erechteum, and a visit to Mars' Hill (or Areopagus) (Acts 17:22), where the Apostle Paul delivered his well-known sermon. The tour continues with the highlights of modern Athens: the tomb of the Unknown Soldier, Parliament House, Presidential Palace, Panathenian Stadium, Temple of Olympian Zeus and the National Library.

Day 3 – Cape Sounion, Athens departure:
The tour continues today with an excursion to Cape Sounion, the site made famous by the Doric white marble Temple of Poseidon that overlooks the blue Aegean Sea. After the tour we transfer to Athens International Airport for your departure flight to Rome. Upon arrival at Rome, we will transfer to the hotel for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 4 – Rome:
On the itinerary today is a full tour of Rome commencing from the Piazza San Bernardo, adorned by Moses' Fountain, and continuing towards the Piazza della Republica, Via Piemonte, the Aurelian Walls, Porta Pinciana, Via Veneto, Via Nazionale. The tour then continues to the Trevi Fountain, the Pantheon, the Palazzo Madama, the Piazza Navona, the Castel Sant'Angelo and St. Peter's Basilica.
The next portion of the tour includes a visit to the Piazza della Republica, the Memorial to King Vittorio Emanuele II and the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier, followed by a visit the square of the Capitol. Following is a tour of the Coliseum, the ruins of the Roman Forum, the Curia, the Reggia, the Temple of Vesta, the Arch of Titus and the Arch of Constantine before continuing towards the Circus Maximus, the Aventine Hill, the Pyramid of Caius Cestius, and ending at the Basilica of St. Paul's Outside the Walls.

Day 5 - Rome departure:
Transfer to Rome International Airport for departure flight.
