This compelling and exciting itinerary combines Christian sites, ancient landmarks, beautiful islands and breathtaking city tours. It is designed is for the traveller who wants to experience the best of Greece & Italy with a focus on Biblical landmarks and is perfect as an addition to a short tour from Turkey or Egypt.

Day 1 - Athens arrival:
Upon arrival at Athens Eleftherios Venizelos Airport, a representative of Aristotle Travel will meet and assist you with your transfer to the hotel. Rest of the day for leisure, dinner and overnight stay.

Day 2 – Athens:
Featured on the itinerary today is a tour of Athens, including the famous Parthenon, the Erechteum, and a visit to Mars' Hill (or Areopagus) (Acts 17:22) where the Apostle Paul delivered his well-known sermon. The tour continues with highlights of modern Athens: the tomb of the Unknown Soldier, Parliament House, Presidential Palace, Panathenian Stadium, Temple of Olympian Zeus and the National Library.

Day 3 – Ancient Corinth, Mycenae, Epidaurus:
Today on the itinerary is a journey to Ancient Corinth via the famous Corinthian Canal, followed by a tour of the church established there by Apostle Paul. Other sites in Corinth include the Agora, the Temple of Apollo, the Roman Odeon, the Bema, and Gallio's Seat. Next stop is a visit to the Archaeological museum and a tour of the ruins of a 5th century Christian basilica at the Ancient Port of Cenchreae. We then proceed to Mycenae, visiting the remains of the prehistoric citadel fortified by Cyclopean Walls, the Lionesses' Gate, the remains of the Mycenaean Palace and the Tomb of King Agamemnon. We then continue to Nafplion, the first capital of modern Greece, before visiting Epidaurus, the sanctuary of Asclepeios, the ancient god of healing. Here we will see the best-preserved ancient theatre in all of Greece, famous for the harmony of its design and the perfection of its remarkable acoustics, easily accommodating 12,000 people.

Day 4 - Saronic Gulf Cruise:
This portion of our tour features a one-day Saronic Gulf cruise to the islands of Hydra, Poros & Aegina. Hydra features an optional excursion to the Temple of Aphaia, a spectacular well-preserved temple from ancient times. Next stop is Poros, location of the first naval arsenal in independent Greece. The last port of call is Hydra, a fashionable artists' colony, retreat of intellectuals and favourite film location.

Day 5 - Athens departure, Rome:
Transfer to Athens International airport for flight to Rome. Upon arrival, a representative of Aristotle Travel will meet and assist you with your transfer to the hotel. Rest of the day for leisure, dinner and overnight stay.

Day 6 – Rome:
Today’s itinerary is devoted to a tour of Christian Rome beginning with a visit to the Vatican City, tours of the Vatican Museum and a visit to the Sistine Chapel. Following are visits to Santa Prudenziania Church, Santa Prassede Basilica and San Paolo alla Regola Church.

Day 7 – Rome:
Today’s itinerary begins with visit to sites associated with the Ancient Roman Empire, including the Roman Coliseum, the Arch of Constantine, the Roman Forum, Marmetine Prison and the Capitol. Following are visits to Christian sites, including St. Peter's In Chains Church, St. Sebastian's Catacombs and St. Paul's Outside the Walls Basilica.

Day 8 - Rome departure:
Transfer to Rome International Airport for departure flight.
